For a private education institution with international students their predominant source of sales revenue, the COVID pandemic and subsequent closure of international travel borders by authorities severely impacted the business financially. In order to maintain the business during this unpredictable and volatile period, generating cost savings were crucial.
A review of the business operations and processes identified resource inefficiencies within two key areas:
- HR: necessity for additional administration staff to manually process the workload volume
- IT Licensing: high expenditures incurred paying multiple vendors premium rates for each software subscription, which in turn only then provided limited coverage of the overall required functionality.
Our investigations determined that beyond reducing expenditures, we could add further benefits for our client by streamlining and automating their business administration processes – reduced staff frustrations as well as facilitating working from home when required.
